Meet Kristen
Kristen received her Master’s of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011 from the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, Texas. She then returned to Salt Lake to provide acupuncture in her hometown.
Kristen has extensive experience treating a broad range of conditions during her many years of work in both community and private acupuncture clinics in Salt Lake City and Austin. While her interests and specialities range from pain, autoimmune conditions, and emotional conditions like depression, grief, and anxiety, she is particularly interested in women’s health. She is a graduate of the Maternity Acupuncture and Mentoring Peer Support (MAMPS) program, which is currently the only research driven post-graduate training in the field of maternity/obstetric acupuncture offered in the West. Kristen also holds senior membership in the Obstetric Acupuncture Association (OBAA), which holds acupuncturists to the highest standards of education and experience in obstetric acupuncture care.
Kristen’s personal mission is to help alleviate suffering in any way that it shows up in someone’s life. Kristen has been studying shamanism for the past 25 years and also teaches yoga privately. She currently sits on the board of DOPL, the Utah Acupuncture Licensing Board.
